Issu-searching seminar II
Objectives of the class
This course provides practical lessons on how to design using the knowledge of mechanical design that has been learned so far. The goal of this course is to learn design as a comprehensive engineering technology through classes and practice of various applied technologies related to design. Students will learn not only the principles of CAD operation, but also the actual operations of CAD through practical CAD operations.
Key words for the class
Mechanical design, 3D CAD, social implementation, PBL learning
Content
In this class, students will be given exercises aimed at solving the problems of those involved through social implementation of needs-based technology.
Our task is to identify specific social issues by research and solve them by using mechanical technology. By having the people involved in the problem actually try to see if they can solve the problem, we will confirm that the problem can actually be solved.
Teaching methods
-
With the goal of fostering engineers capable of creating value based on societal needs, rather than technological seeds, we will conduct a socially-implemented robotics project in which specific societal issues are identified through research, and these issues are solved through IT and robotics technologies.
It is imperative that the products developed are always used by the parties involved and evaluated. In addition, a trial and improvement process shall be implemented. If necessary, the project will be evaluated by external evaluators and entered into external contests and exhibitions.
