Design Engineering Laboratory is dedicated to conducting basic and applied research in robotics engineering to make contributions to industry and society. Seeking the system that human and robot can coexist in real world and studying to find out the mechanism of human and animals, the Design Engineering Laboratory has diversified its approaches to work toward its original goal of realizing the potential of the robotics techniques.

On the educational side, in order to be actively integrated into society, graduate students are provided with: many areas of expertise, practical skills, the way of presentation, through engineering experience of "MONOZUKURI". Furthermore, they master creativity to generate new value through "MONO".
